Nuevo álbum de John Frusciante

El próximo 20 de enero se publicará su octavo álbum, con el título de The Empyrean (Record Collection).

El nuevo álbum de Frusciante ha sido grabado entre diciembre de 2006 y marzo del 2008. Según el propio músico explica, es un álbum conceptual que cuenta una única historia, el recorrido vital de una persona, y que se centra en dos personajes distintos.

El álbum contiene una versión del Song To The Siren de Tim Buckley, pero el resto de canciones han sido escritas por Frusciante. Añade: "Mi amigo Josh [Klinghoffer] participa en este disco, como Flea. Además participan Sonus Quartet, Johnny Marr y The New Dimension Singers. Estoy realmente feliz por ello, lo he escuchado, por la experiencia psicodélica que proporciona. Debería ser tocado lo más ruidoso posible y es idóneo para salas de estar oscuras en la tarde noche”.
